Ghana's Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry Dokua Asiamah - Adjei said they are ready to do serious business with Kenya.

"Our overreliance on trade with other continents has deprived us of many opportunities to increase trade amongst ourselves. I want to use this opportunity and occasion to reiterate that we're ready to do business with Kenya, and I mean serious business," Adjei said.

The Expo featured the participation of 70 Ghanaian and 20 Kenyan businesses representing various sectors from agro-processing, beverages, cosmetics, ceramics, garments, textiles and pharmaceuticals.

Both Kenyan and Ghanaian traders got an opportunity to showcase their products during the Expo.

The Expo also provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and discussions on enhancing trade ties between the two countries.

The event was organised by the Ghana National AfCFTA Coordination Office (NCO) and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA).

The ceremony was attended by key officials from Ghana and Kenya, who expressed their enthusiasm and emphasised the importance of the initiative.
