Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has donated Sh500,000 to St Charles Lwanga, Kitui.
The DP had gone to the school for an harambee towards its development.
"Sasa mimi naona tufanye ile mambo ya lunch, I'll give the school head Sh500,000 for lunch," he said
"Si mkikula chapati ni sawa, na soda."
Gachagua also promised to buy a school bus for the students.
"Mimi sijawahi sikia viongozi wenu wamenunua school bus, sasa naona Scania itaweza," he said.

He said is it important to put sufficient funds into the school to enhance its development and give the students a conducive environment for learning.
"Sisi ni watu wa kazi, siasa imeisha an tuko tayari kufanya kazi," he said.

Gachagua also questioned why Azimio leader Raila Odinga had not attended the Harambee saying Kitui is Raila's stronghold.
