No family show during Ndung'u first Budget reading

Former Treasury CS Ukur Yattani would pose for photos with his two sons at the steps of the National Treasury Building before reading the Budget but that was not the case for his successor Njunguna Ndung'u on Thursday.

Standing side by side, while holding the budget briefcase, Yattani posed for photos with the sons. The recent one being last's years budget day in April. His wife was also present.

Yatani always appeared jovial and in high spirits despite the weight of the issues in the Budget briefcase.

On Thursday, just as Kenyans were used to seeing the family of Treasury CS, Ndung'u, gave no family show. 

Arriving in the famous Treasury’s Volkswagen Passat with the symbolic Budget briefcase, Ndung'u was only accompanied by security and Treasury PS. 

He went straight to greet MPs Kimani Ichung'wa, Ndindi Nyoro, Silvanus Osoro among others before posing for a photo. 

Has the tradition been broken? Or is CS Ndung'u just a private person?
