Sakaja gifts two Kakamega choirs Sh30,000 each for good performance

The service was held at Christ Church Cathedral, Kakamega County.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja on Sunday announced that he will gift Sh30,000 to each choir that performed during service. 

The service was held at Christ Church Cathedral, Kakamega County. 

"Mimi naenda kuzawadi kwaya amabazo zimeimba hapa elfu thelathini, mmefanya kazi mzuri sana," he said.

(I will gift choirs that performed here Sh30,000 each. You did a good job) 

"As your governor from Nairobi, I am proud. Mkirudi nyumbani msalimiane." 

President William Ruto and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi were also present during the service.

Further, the governor assured the President of his support even as he fulfills the promises he gave to Kenyans. 

"Mr President, we are with you all the way, continue with the good work you are doing," he said. 

"As a leader, if you are doing the right thing never be afraid to be misunderstood."

Sakaja added that for a country to move forward, its leader has to be very steady, urging Kenyans to have faith in the president. 

"If you want to lead the choir, do you look at the crowd or choir. Mr President, lead us," he said.
