Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has been arrested for assaulting a Kenya Power officer who disconnected his illegal power connection.
He is set to be arraigned for assault in Kajiado.
Earlier on, a group of Kenya Power employees had staged a protest in Kitengela town over the assault of their colleague by the MP.
They demanded action against the MP before the officers told them the lawmaker had been arrested and taken to a court in Kajiado.
