She expressed her disappointment with the government deploying security officers around the country during peaceful protests.

This comes after the police on Friday dispersed protesters in Mombasa by lobbying teargas as they commemorated Saba Saba day.

"I am surprised by this Kenya Kwanza government, how can they deploy so many police officers during peaceful demonstrations yet there are so many insecurity cases in the country," she said.

“Aluta Continua! No retreat, no surrender.”

The MP said Kenyans have a right to peaceful demonstrations as they air out their dissatisfaction with the government.
