Governor Joseph Lenku on Sunday said Kenyans are tired of the protests against the state.

“There is no more room for anarchy. My President William Ruto and my party leader, Raila Odinga, should now call for a ceasefire. We have a country to build together," Lenku said.

Lenku, who spoke in Matapato South Ward in Kajiado Central sub-county, said there is no point for Kenyans to burn their country because of the high cost of living, adding that even before President Ruto took over, the cost of living was still high.

He said the road to destruction will put the country into turmoil, adding that Kenya cannot be built by the use of chaos.

The governor was accompanied by Kajiado senator Kanar Seki and his deputy Martin Moshisho.

He said this is the time Kenyans should work together and help each other for survival purposes in the current situation when the cost of living has soared.

“This is not only happening in Kenya alone. The cost of living is high all over the world and nobody should claim the problem is only in Kenya,” said Lenku.

He said President Ruto was elected and should be assisted to turn around the country’s economy, adding that Raila should use his energy to seek tranquillity.
