Nairobi regional commander Adamson Bungei has met with the security team deployed at the Jacaranda Grounds.
On Thursday, Bungei visited the security team as they prepared for day two of the demos.
He urged the officers to allow Kenyans to be peaceful and go on with their activities.
"Those that are going about their business should be allowed to do so. While those that bring chaos, will be arrested," Bungei said.
The commander said he wants Kenyans to be in a peaceful environment.
This comes on the second day of the planned three-day anti-government demos being led by Azimio Chief Raila Odinga.
On Wednesday, Catholic Bishops called out police over how they handle protesters during demos.
Led by Nyeri Archbishop Anthony Muheria, they said, police should practice restraint when responding to protesters.
The Bishops said excessive force is unlawful.
"We want to emphasise this issue and express a firm stance against acts of violence and abuse of power," Muheria said
"Police have a responsibility to deal with criminals disguised as demonstrators. But police cannot take advantage to brutalise innocent Kenyans."
He termed police brutality as unacceptable adding that it must not be tolerated under any circumstance.
