Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has confessed that he is usually shy around many girls.

Gachagua was speaking on Friday at Our Lady of Consolata Mugoiri Girls High School, Kiharu in Murang’a County.

He said he would not say much with all the girls looking at him.

"I'm in a situation where am not able to say much. You know I'm a truthful person and the truth of the matter is that I'm very shy to face so many girls," Gachagua said.

He went on to say that his weakness is addressing a large crowd of women.

"There is no one who doesn't have a weakness. We may look very strong but with all these girls looking at me I am not able to say much," Gachagau said.

As Azimio hits its final day of protests, the DP said they are committed to protecting the properties and lives of Kenyans.

"On September 13, last year in Kasarani, before God and men, you took the bible and vowed to protect the constitution and, in that constitution, there is a provision to protect lives and property. And that is what we have done," Gachagua said.

He added that Kenya must move forward from the politics of blackmailing the country.

This is after Azimio leader Raila Odinga reiterated that protests will continue until President William Ruto aides to their grievances of lowering the high cost of living.
