A six-year-old girl died in an electrocution incident in Kibera slums, Nairobi.

According to police, the girl had gone to their toilet in the slum when she touched a wall that had been connected to a live naked wire.

She screamed for help and her elder sister rushed to her help but she was also hit by the power shocks.

She was however saved from the scene, police said.

Police said the incident happened on Wednesday evening.

The deceased girl was found lying unconscious and rushed to hospital but died on the way.

Police said they were informed of the incident after it had happened.

Kilimani police boss Moss Ndiwa said they are investigating the tragedy.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and probe.

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man died after falling from the first floor of a house in Kahawa West, Nairobi.

Isaac Njuguna is said to have tripped from the house and fallen to the ground landing on his back.

Police said he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival in the Wednesday evening incident.

Police were called to the scene and documented it. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
