Kindiki makes another impromptu visit to Nyayo House

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on Thursday made another impromptu visit to Nyayo House.

Kindiki who visited Nyayo House in the afternoon interacted with Kenyans who had come to the offices to process their travel documents.

The Kenyans got a chance to talk to the CS who was on a fact-finding mission to see how things were running since his previous visit.

This makes it his third impromptu visit to Nyayo House in a span of less than a month.

In a similar visit last week Thursday, Kindiki made rounds at Nyayo House and interacted with Kenyans who were there for passport applications and other government services.

He checked the documents he had and asked why he needed a passport and if it was urgent.

He said that the government is trying to correct the delay in passport applications that has been witnessed in the country.

"Just give us a few days, probably weeks. The printing has been a big problem for the longest time," he said.

The CS added that he will not allow corruption to go on in the facility citing that he he will crack down on anyone despite their ranks.

During the last visit, Kindiki fired a warning to idlers at Nyayo House, saying it would only be accessible to applicants and staff members.

"No person will be allowed to hang around Nyayo House, and being a facility processing vital security documents, access will only be granted to applicants with the necessary documents and staff members," he said.

Kindiki urged applicants to be cautious when seeking services to avoid being duped.
