A group of Persons with Disabilities, will Friday morning formally defect to the United Democratic Alliance party.
The members will be received by UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala at the party's Hustler Centre headquarters.
The group comprises over 100 members drawn from various parts of the country.
This is part of UDA's aggressive strategy aimed at bringing on board key sectors as it moves to consolidate itself ahead of the 2027 polls.
The defectors will comprise those ditching the Orange Democratic Movement party and the Wiper Democratic Movement.
On Friday Malala said the UDA family will continue to expand in the coming months as it seeks to consolidate its position as a formidable force for the 2027 polls.
"UDA is growing every day and we welcome Kenyans who want to join the county's biggest political formation," he said.
According to Malala, the party has rolled out an aggressive campaign programme to grow its membership ahead of the next elections.
Recently, Malala has been traversing the country to popularise UDA and also mobilise the grassroots.
Malala has urged the Luyha community in the Western Kenya region to join UDA.
Speaking in Kakamega on Sunday, Malala said few people were benefitting at the expense of the whole community.
Malala alleged that residents have been fooled for a long time by forming local parties that can never propel the community to the State House.
"This time round we must prioritise our community. We must be strategic. The only way Luhyas will get to the top is by joining a national party. I want to urge the Luhya community to join UDA," he said.
“We have parties in the Kenya Kwanza coalition that cannot produce the President. We shall be lying to one another that parties like ANC or Ford Kenya can produce the Kenyan president.”
