Gachagua who is on an official trip to Colombia, invited business leaders to invest in Kenya and also experience species of wildlife such as tiger.

"Kenya is a very warm country, we are very welcoming people we are very hospitable and we invite Colombian business people to come and invest in Kenya," he said

"Again, as you come to invest in Kenya, we have many facilities for tourism. We have rare species of wildlife; the elephant, rhino, buffalo, and tiger."

The DP confidently said Kenya has a tiger while delivering his speech. His statement is false.

The true position is tigers are only found in Asian countries (India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Russia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam)

In Kenya, tourists can experience the big five; Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffalo, and Rhinos.

With DP's statement, Kenyans on X (formerly Twitter) were livid and openly aired their hilarious views.

Caxstone said: "While delivering a speech in Columbia, Mr Gachagua lied to the audience that we have tigers in Kenya. Fact is that tigers have never historically lived on the African continent."

Janet said: "I think it was a slip of the Tongue Counsel. He must have meant Cheetah."

Godfrey said: "Haha! That speech was definitely written for him by someone who knows nothing about wildlife. Poor guy."

Mwangaze said: "Our leaders embarrass us. Most hilarious bit is with his posture. The way he exemplifies confidence and we all know he’s wrong."
