Azimio leader Raila Odinga has rated President William Ruto's performance over the last one year poorly, giving the Kenya Kwanza government a D (minus) of 30 per cent.

The opposition chief who on Saturday released a detailed performance index for the Kenya Kwanza administration, said that Ruto's administration has performed below par and dismally.

''The assessment has been done and we have done the rating and our scorecard for this regime is 30 per cent of D minus,'' Raila said.

The Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party leader tore into the performance of the Kenya Kwanza administration claiming that the government has been a disaster for the country.

For instance, Raila's Azimio coalition accused Ruto's administration of failing to give millions of youths jobs he promised them during campaigns.

Raila said the government is instead harassing youths especially in central Kenya on claims of indulging in alcohol yet their have no jobs.

''In central, youths are being harassed on claims of being drunkards, they are being arrested and jailed,'' Raila claimed.

''They are drinking alcohol because there are no jobs, you are punishing someone and you have not given them jobs.''

Raila termed a great betrayal the free fall of the Kenyan shilling saying it has made the lives of Kenyans unbearable.

Giving a scorecard for President William Ruto's one year in office, Raila termed the term a disaster for Kenyans.

The opposition leader regretted that small traders importing goods from abroad have been forced to cough more because of the deteriorating shilling.

"The shilling has lost 20 percent of its value against Ugandan and Tanzanian shilling," Raila said in a statement read after a meeting with his Azimio top brass on Friday.
