Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has donated Sh500,000 to Isiolo Boys High School.
"Vijana wa Isiolo Boys muko, ohh muko area, si mambo yenu iko sawa sawa ama nipangie nyinyi bash kidogo, nipangie nyinyi bash kidogo vijana, Aya vijana nitatoa Sh500,000 mupange mkate na chai ya hiyo vijana," he said.
(To the boys are you here? Is everything okay, or should I hold a party for you, a small party? Okay, I will give Sh500,000 for you plan for tea and bread or something.)
DP Gachagua spoke in Isiolo during a Thanksgiving event for Petroleum Principal Secretary Mohamed Liban.
He was accompanied by different leaders including Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala among others
"Hii shule ya Isiolo Boys ambayo PS alisoma, ambayo ni shule ya kimataifa inajulikana, ilikuwa na sifa kwetu huko Nyeri. Tulitamani kufika hapa lakini marks yetu haikuweza lakini Mungu ni wa maajabu," he said.
This loosely translates to: Isiolo Boys where the PS undertook his education, is a school that is known internationally and highly praised in Nyeri. We desired to get here but our marks couldn't allow us but, God is a God of wonders
