Pastor Ezekiel vows to defend church amid Shakahola death Probe

Embattled Pastor Ezekiel Odero has said he is ready and willing to shed his truth after he was summoned to the Senate over the Shakahola death probe.

Speaking to the press on Friday, Ezekiel in the company of his legal team led by Danstan Omari said today is the only time the church can defend itself.

He has distanced himself from the accusations leveled against Pastor Mackenzie saying the truth will set him free.

"What is important is the cross. Such a thing of this magnitude has never happened in our country. Not even to the church. This is the only time the church can defend the cross," he said.

"Let us wait for the truth for the truth shall set us free."

The pastor was categorical that today's events were not about him but the Gospel.

Also present were Lawyers Cliff Ombeta, Sam Nyaberi and Shaddrack Wambui.

"Pastor is as clean, as white as his clothes. His honest to His God. He has a duty to clear the name of the church. That is why we are here," Omari said.
