Outspoken Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has been the talk of the town for a week now.

From sharing photos of him with opposition principals to posting cryptic messages on social media, and in his latest post, alleging the accusations raised against embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza are not grounds for impeachment.

"I have studied carefully the issues presented against Governor Kawira. The most serious offence is that she does what Kukuyus call Kuangalia watu manyiira. That offence can take you to hell but not to jail. Certainly not a ground for impeachment," he said in an X post.

His comment about the impeachment has not sat well with Ssenators, including Nairobi's Edwin Sifuna.

"Moses Kuria is a national shame. Just how much embezzlement does the President have to endure? Mr speaker even after your communication, the CS who should be asleep took to X for another comment, action must be taken," Sifuna said.

"It casts very serious doubt on the appointing authority. First, he came for the media, and now he has come for the Senate, do something.. that is who Moses Kuria is," he added.

Some senators now want the CS fired.

On November 6, when the CS met politician Maina Njenga at a local media station, the pictures that were posted online sparked debate, questioning which side of the political divide Kuria belongs to.

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi took to his X post saying the CS was in search of a signal and sending a message to his boss, President William Ruto.

The impromptu meeting, according to Maina Njenga was for the unity of the Mt Kenya region.

One X user by the name Eric Mugambi said: CS Kuria was not happy about the demotion. He is trying so hard to have the president fire him, which will be an excuse for him to go back to political rallies where he will bash the government and call out excessive taxation and the cost of living.

Even as he continues to serve in the Kenya Kwanza government, Kuria is good at poking holes, on November 3, the CS posted pictures of him and Opposition leader Raila Odinga captioning it: "Bumped into my good friend."

Moments later, on November 3 at 5:28 pm, he again posted pictures of him with Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, with the caption: "Bumped into yet another friend."

In another X post, Kuria, again poked holes, saying: "Sasa venye King amerudi kwao, fake Kingpins you can take over."

His comment came days after President Ruto during the State Banquet in honour of King Charles III said kingpin battles were suspended as the real King was in town.

“Your majesty, in this country, we have kingpins in different regions, and for that reason, I want to say that the contest is suspended because the real king is in the country,” he said.

Political analyst Alexander Nyamboga, says the CS's public display was unbecoming and possibly pointed to a fallout in Cabinet.

"The CS appears that he is charting his path within the Kenya Kwanza administration and looks determined to go down fighting,'' he said.

According to the analyst, Kuria has adopted a don't care attitude in the delivery of his responsibilities as CS.

"In short he is saying that fire me if you can,'" he said.
