Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is expected to attend the burial of the late Mercy Wairimu, the mother of Nyeri County Water and Environment CEC Fredrick Kinyua and KALRO chairman Peter Kinyua.
The burial ceremony will happen at Ngorano Primary School, Ruguru Ward, Mathira Constituency in Nyeri.
Gachagua to address KNUT delegates' conference
The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) will today hold its 63rd Annual Delegates’ Conference (ADC) in Nairobi.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is expected to grace the event.
Over 2,000 delegates from the 110 KNUT branches including teachers, county and national government officials, and international guests’ from federations of teachers are expected to attend.
During the conference, there shall also be by-elections where delegates will confirm Malel Langat as the first national vice chairman to replace the late Joseph Mutai, and Aggrey Namisi as the second national vice chair among other changes.
Secretary General Collins Oyuu will also give the National Executive Council (NEC) report.
MPs to visit KNEC warehouses
Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang will today lead the National Assembly's Standing Committee members on a tour of the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) warehouse offices.
The offices are located at the former Jomo Kenyatta Foundation offices on Enterprise Road, Nairobi.
Consumers International Global Congress
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will today morning give his address during the opening of the Consumers International Global Congress in Nairobi.
The event hosted by the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) is aimed at promoting public knowledge and awareness of consumers’ rights.
The event is held every four years.
