The wedding season is here and December means, lots of people getting married either via huge celebrations or a small and intimate nuptial.

Whether big or small, the most important thing is sealing the deal, and forever committing to a partner and starting a life together.

Many people tend to have their weddings in December for various reasons including a good time for celebrations, and having saved enough money the whole year for the wedding among other factors.

Now that there is money and a date, here are some of the dos while planning a wedding;

Set a Budget and Stick to it

With enough money, it is now essential to set a budget for the wedding, including the money for the venue, food, flowers, gown, cars, if they'll be hired, etc.

As you stick to the budget, choose the venue early since December is a busy month for numerous celebrations.

A budget will help to avoid overspending and debts.

Communicate

Communicate openly with your partner while making decisions on certain issues. You don't want to have arguments during your wedding planning process, and this may mess things up.

Talk openly and let your partner also have a say in decision-making, it is a wedding, not a competition.

Get professionals to help

Planning a wedding can be tiresome and getting a professional to help while you are overwhelmed can help you relax as you work on other matters.

This way everything will be in order and someone will be answerable if something goes south. Walk hand in hand with these professionals to help you have the wedding of your dreams.

Delegation

This is your day and you might want to be very hands-on on everything. While you have hired a professional to help in planning a wedding, delegate someone to talk to them in case you are unavailable.

As friends who are willing to help to talk to vendors, ensure outfits for the day are set, and other matters. Allow help from people who love you.

Plan for unexpected

On your wedding day, a lot of unexpected occurrences might occur, it is not your fault. While planning for the wedding, have a power backup plan in case electricity goes out, ensure you have other plans put in place in case of rain, inform the tent vendors to be on the radar and have a roof tent for that.

On food, also inform the vendor to have extra in case the number exceeds the expected guests.

Enjoy the process

Unless you are planning on having another wedding, enjoy the process while planning this. Be happy while at it, if you feel like talking to someone, do it and allow people to be around you and embrace the moment.
