President William Ruto on Saturday hosted teachers and students from Hawa Kosar Madrasa School at State House.
In a message on his X account, he said the state appreciates organisations that support efforts towards bridging the socioeconomic divide in the community through education and the empowerment of the vulnerable.
"Honored to have hosted the Principal, teachers and students from the institution at State House, Nairobi. Their commitment to education and religious knowledge is inspiring having grown from 20 students in 2012 to 627 today," he said.
"We associate with the Hawa Kosar Madrasa in Garissa County for distinguishing itself as a centre of excellence, fostering a more inclusive, transformed and empowered society."
Also present were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.
