Most men opt to go on holidays than women – Report

A new research has come up showing that most men prefer going on holidays as compared to women.

The latest Kenya Media Research, 2023 by Radio Africa Limited's Research Department shows that 18 per cent of men go on holidays as compared to 13 per cent of women who do.

The research also showed that 20 per cent of those who go on holiday are aged 18 to 24.

Those aged between 25 to 29 were shown to be 17 per cent.

This was also the same as those aged between 40 to 49 which also summed up to 17 per cent.

The survey showed that those age 30 to 34 and go on holidays are about 12 per cent.

It was closely followed by those aged 60 and above which was proved to be 10 per cent.

RAL Research further showed the age 50 to 59 to be at nine per cent.

The omnibus survey was conducted by Radio Africa Limited Research Department between June 29 to July 11, 2023.

The methodology used was random, multi-stage stratified using proportionate to population size spread acros``s all the 47 counties in Kenya.

The sample split was guided by all adult1s age 18+ proportionate to size as per the Kenya Bureau of statistics population census of 2019.

The survey's sampling error was shown to be +/-1.8% with a 95% confidence level.

The data collection method for the survey was through computer-aided telephone interviews.

RAL Research used English and Kiswahili as the main laguages in the study.

The survey was conducted among 3,000 respondents aged 18 years and above.
