State announces vacancies for female nurses in Saudi Arabia

For certificate holders, they will earn a minimum of Sh92,221.

The Ministry of Labour has announced vacancies for Kenyan nurses to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA). 

The ministry said the opportunities are in collaboration with the government of Kenya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it however did not disclose the number of vacancies available. 

"This initiative has facilitated the employment of thousands of Kenyans in different economic sectors in the KSA  and has expressed willingness through various organizations to recruit additional health workers from Kenya," Labour Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime said in a statement.

Further, the PS said nurses who hold degrees, diplomas, and certificates in the field are qualified to apply for the positions. 

The applicants must be Kenyan citizens, hold a valid passport, and must be female. 

Additionally, the applicants must have a valid police clearance certificate and be registered and licensed members of the Nursing Council of Kenya and in good standing. 

"The applicants should be aged between 22 and 35 years."

For degree holders, the ministry said they will earn a minimum of 35900 SAR per month  (Sh146,716), while diploma holders will get a minimum of 3,000 SAR (Sh125,757). 

For certificate holders, they will earn a minimum of 2,200 SAR (Sh92,221). 

Other benefits include a roundtrip air ticket, eight working hours, and overtime in accordance with Saudi Arabian labour laws. 

"Successful candidates will have a two-year renewable contract."

To apply, interested candidates should register and apply for consideration through the National Employment Authority job portal.
