Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in her house on Wednesday evening.
Cynthia Shivuka, 33, was found dead in her house at Stage Two Kawangware by a relative.
The deceased had on Wednesday morning left for her work together with the relative.
It is not however clear if she arrived at the place of work.
When the relative came back to the house in the evening she found the door locked from the inside and there was no response from her.
She alerted the neighbours who broke the door and found the woman lying unresponsive on the bed.
She had reportedly died hours earlier.
Police arrived at the scene and picked up the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
This will determine the cause of death, police said.
Ngumba area
Elsewhere in Ngumba area, a 58-year-old man died in his house.
Police said the deceased who was identified as Njugi Njenga was found dead in his house and they are yet to establish the cause of his death.
The body was found lying on the floor of the house amid suspicion he collapsed.
He was alone at the time of the incident, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
Mombasa
Police in Mombasa are investigating the discovery of the body of a 35-year-old man at Madubaha Public Beach.
The body of Ali Mohammed Omar was found floating on the water long after he had died.
The cause of his death is yet to be known. Police however said they are for now treating the incident as drowning.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigative procedures.
Galole, Tana River
In Galole, Tana River, a guard was killed in a robbery gone bad.
The guard was on duty at a factory in the area when he was killed.
His body was found with a deep cut on the left side of his forehead inflicted by a sharp object, and bruises on his hands and legs.
A bicycle believed to be his was found with a damaged peddle.
Police said they are investigating the murder in the incident. The motive of the murder is yet to be known and no arrest made so far.
