Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found floating on a river in the Mwiki area, Nairobi.
The deceased is believed to have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped into Nairobi River where it was found on Monday evening, police said.
The motive of the murder, if any is yet to be established.
Police moved the body to the mortuary pending a probe and autopsy, which will be done after identification.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a murder incident involving a 30-year-old man in Kibera slums, Nairobi.
The body of the man was found in a shallow trench in the Soweto area with deep cuts on the head, arms and legs.
Police identified him as Leonard Ondieki aged 30 and had his legs tied with a manila rope.
The deceased house was also visited where bloodstains were all over the floor, beddings, and on the wall.
Police suspect he was killed but the motive of the same is yet to be established.
Neighbours told police they heard violent commotion accompanied by serious beatings from the deceased’s house.
The deceased was later pulled out of his house and dragged to the trench where he was killed.
And in the Kaptembwo area, Nakuru, a night guard was killed by suspected thugs in a robbery incident.
The deceased was at his place of work when three men riding on a motorcycle confronted him.
The gang hit Sam Kipyegon in the head and robbed him of his mobile phone before riding off. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said they are looking for the attackers for questioning and arraignment.
