Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo will today host a Peace, Security and Development Cooperation roundtable.

The meeting which brings together various development partners will be held at Serena Hotel, Nairobi.

It comes barely a month after a similar in which he co-hosted with the UN Resident Coordinator and Head of the UN System in Kenya Stephen Jackson.

During the meeting, Omollo emphasized on all-of-government approach to promoting inter-agency coordination in the management of security, planning, budgeting, monitoring and service delivery.

UNEA-6 starts in Nairobi

The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) starts today in Nairobi.

The five-day summit is held at the UNEP headquarters.

As the world’s top decision-making body on the environment, UNEA aims to help restore harmony between humanity and nature, improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable people.

Budget policy statement

Budget and Appropriations Committee chaired by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is scheduled to meet officials from the office of the Auditor General.

The committee is meeting to discuss its expenditure ceilings as proposed in the 2024 Budget Policy Statement.

Coffee value chain meet

Kenya and Colombia will today hold a technical cooperation meeting on the coffee value chain.

Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui will attend the meeting. 

Gakuyo case

Televangelist David Gakuyo is today expected to take a plea where he is likely to be charged with several counts of felony, obtaining money by false pretence and theft in Sh1bn fraud.
