The two were frog-marched from their houses and lynched by a mob who claimed they had stolen chicken in the area.

The two came from Budaywa Sublocation, Vihiga County.

The body of John Pilishi was found on the roof of his house with a rope around his neck.

The motive of the Monday, March 11 incident is yet to be known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
