An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on the body of the late journalist Rita Tinina.

Tinina was found dead on Sunday morning in her room by her house girl, along Laikipia Road In Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

She was supposed to be on duty at NTV where she worked as an Output Producer but failed to report.

The house girl told police she woke up as usual and went on with her chores but realised Tinina was not awake as earlier planned.

Ruto to assent the Affordable Housing Bill at State House

President William Ruto will on Tuesday morning assent to the Affordable Housing Bill at State House, Nairobi.

The event was scheduled for Monday at 8 am but was pushed to Tuesday.

This comes after Parliament on Thursday last week passed the legislation that will anchor the affordable housing programme in law.

The courts abolished the levy in January but the Kenya Kwanza administration quickly moved to have it back through legislation.

Pastor Dorcas to give a speech to open Career Innovation Week

Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi will give a keynote speech to open the Career and Innovation Week 2024.

The event is scheduled to take place at The Cooperative University of Kenya, Nairobi from 9 am.

Courts

The corruption case against former Migori Governor Okoth Obado will continue today at the Milimani Law Courts.

A Nairobi court is expected to issue directions in a case in which the Rastafari Society of Kenya (RSK) is seeking to lift the law criminalising the use of marijuana.

The first KUCCPS placement is out

The first Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) placement is out after extending the application deadlines in February.

The Service's CEO Mercy Wahome had said the decision was made to ascertain that all targeted students have applied.

However, students are only being informed they secured placement in one of the universities they chose without information on which particular course.
