Up for grabs! Police Service to auction cars for as low as Sh80,000

The highest-priced vehicle—a Land Rover Discovery goes for Sh350,000

The National Police Service is set to auction unserviceable motor vehicles with the lowest going for Sh80,000.

Also up for grabs in the auction scheduled to be conducted by appointed auctioneers is ICT equipment.

The equipment includes telephone heads, UPSs and scanners all totalling 16 in number.

In an advert on the weekly newspaper My Gov dated May 28, the commission has listed seven vehicles of different models.

The highest-priced vehicle goes for Sh350,000—a  Land Rover Discovery registration number GKB 687C.

Another similar model registration number GKB 688C will be sold at Sh155,000.

The lowest-priced vehicle goes for Sh80,000—a  Renault Fluence registration number GKB 773C.

Others are three Nissan Navara registration numbers GKB 767C, GKB 762C and GKB 596F manufactured in 2012 and 2013 with price tags of Sh250,000, Sh200, 000 and Sh220, 000 respectively.

The three cars have engine capacities of 2488cc.

NPSC says the vehicles can be viewed at the commission's offices at SkyPark Plaza.

Also on sale is a Suzuki G/ Vitara (GKB 690C) going for Sh150,000.

"Detailed information can be obtained from the commission's website and PPIP,"  read part of the advert.
