A new report by Infotrak released on Thursday has revealed that 46 per cent of Kenyans are unaware of the Finance Bill 2024.

According to the report, 54 per cent are however conversant with the Finance Bill 2024.

The report further states that majority of respondents in the Central region at 62 per cent are aware of the bill unlike the Eastern region where 41 per cent are aware of the bill

"The male gender is more aware of the finance bill than the female gender, with 59 percent of male being aware compared to the 41 per cent of male," the report says.

According to the report, adults between 46 to 55 years who are more engaged in financial matters were noted to be more aware of the Finance Bill.

The survey was conducted between May 23 to 29 among 1,700 respondents aged above 18 years.

The poll was conducted through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews in all the 47 counties and eight regions of Kenya.

There was a margin error of +/-2.53 per cent at a 95 per cent degree of confidence.
