The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Renson Ingonga on Thursday hosted a delegation from Zambia.
The meeting aimed to discuss potential areas of collaboration and capacity building.
Ingonga has emphsised the the importance of people-centered prosecutions.
The Zambian delegation was led by Acting Director/CEO at the Zambia Human Rights Commission Katembi Kapiria and Director, Public Education, Zambia Anti-Corruption Dorothy Haduuka.
"The focus areas included anti-corruption efforts and human rights protection," Ingoga said.
The meeting held was in collaboration with other organisations, such as the Assets Recovery Agency and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
"The guests were appraised on a number of issues including collaboration between the ODPP and other organizations including the Assets Recovery Agency, plus the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission," the DPP said .
In addition, the delegation learned about the ODPP’s various functions, including its role in economic, organised, and international crimes.
The visit signified a step toward closer cooperation between Kenya and Zambia in promoting justice and fighting corruption.
"The focus areas included anti-corruption efforts and human rights protection," Ingoga said.
