Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno has told Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to be wary of leaders who want to create bad blood between him and President William Ruto.

Ng’eno said there are people who want the President and his deputy to go separate ways.

“We want to tell you to remember that the President is your friend and Ruto has faith in you. Ignore the people talking on the periphery. They will talk and come nightfall, they will sleep,” he stated.

The MP made the remarks at a worship and fundraiser service at PMCA Church, Kipkok in Sigowet-Soin, Kericho County. Gachagua was among leaders present.

He assured Gachagua that Rift Valley leaders do not want to be part of leaders who are insulting him, those who want to create disharmony in the government.

“We are praying for you. We want to state that we are behind you and the President,” he added.

On Friday, Nominated MP Sabina Chege asked Kenyans to pray hard so that Ruto and his deputy do not part ways.

The former Murang'a Woman Representative said Kenyans should go down on their knees and seek God's intervention to avert a fallout.

The MP spoke amid reports of widening cracks between the president and his deputy, with allies engaging in a war of words.

The lawmaker, who is allied to the Jubilee party, said Kenyans should remain united and resist any attempts to divide them and their leaders.

"We pray that satan should not get a way into your relationship, we have supported you and we want to support you so that Kenya moves forward,'' she added.

The MP was among a number of MPs who accompanied Gachagua to Maralal for the fundraiser in support of women groups in Samburu County.
