Ruto hands lawyer Beryl Zoraima, ex-senator state jobs

President William Ruto has appointed lawyer Beryl Zoraima a commissioner of the Advocates Complaints Commission.

Zoraima's appointment is effective June 7, and she will serve in the capacity for the next three years.

"I appoint Beryl Zoraima Nalo to be a Commissioner of the Advocates Complaints Commission, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 7th June, 2024.

"The appointment of Collins Odote Oloo (Prof.) is revoked," the gazette notice seen by the Star reads.

Zoraima is the spouse of Lands PS Nixon Korir.

She holds a Master's in Law from the University of Nairobi. She has worked as a legal officer for Kenya Power and the Kenya Pipeline Company Limited, in various senior roles.

In another appointment, the Head of state has picked former Kajiado Senator Eng Peter Mositet to be the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI). 

His appointment follows the revocation of Dr Dinah Jerotich Mwinzi's appointment.

Mositet will hold the position for the next three years.

"I appoint Peter K. Mositet (ENG) to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute, for a period of three (3) years with effect from the 7th June, 2024."

This is part of the President's continued efforts to reorganise the government in a bid to deliver his agenda to the people of Kenya.
