Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged leaders to show respect to Kenyans.

The DP said leaders ought to accord respect to Kenyans without discrimination on the basis of financial status or background.

"Ningetaka kuuliza viongozi wote wa Kenya, tuwache kutukana Wakenya," he said.

(I would like to ask all leaders in the country, stop insulting Kenyans)

Gachagua said leaders start insulting Kenyans once they get into office forgetting how they got there.

"Tuwache kukula, tukishiba, tunaanza kuwatapikia," he said.

"Hata kama umekula ukashiba, heshima tu?" he asked.

(Let's not start degrading them once we get satisfied. Respect them even in your satisfaction)
