Counties to go without electricity on Sunday - KPLC

A section of residents in three counties across the country will go without power on Sunday.

Kenya Power has announced that it will have scheduled power interruption for maintenance in parts of Nairobi, Kajiado and Kiambu counties.

Kenya Power said the scheduled outage will be effected from 9 am to 5 pm in the affected areas.

In Kiambu county, the sccheduled interruption will affect customers in parts of Thika Town, Thiwasco, Kanini Haraka, Jogoo Kimakia, Silver Oak, Section 2 Thika, Karangaita, Simbi Roses, Chania Girls, Maporomoko and adjacent customers.

In Kajiado, customers in Kiserian including Arap Moi, Kanisani Road, Kwekwe, Nywat, Enkang, Kahuho, Part of Kiserian Town, Green Goes, Sankale, Gategi, Ngaruroro, GP and Olchorenyore will be affected.

Those in Dawamu, Oloirien, Ebenezer Children Home, Citam Children Home, Birika, Ostrich Farm, Kipeto, Saithya Sai and adjacent customers will also be affected.

The scheduled interruption in Nairobi will affect customers in Eastleigh, Kyangombe and Syokimau.

In Eastleigh, the interruption will affect parts of Mohammed Yusuf Haji Avenue, Ismail Hassan, Moyale Mall, Sirare, Taran, Pumwani Hospital, California, Care Hospital, Mabruk and adjacent customers.

Customers in Kyangombe and Syokimau to be affected include Inland Container Deport (ICD), Kyang’ombe, Heavy Engineering, Tile and Carpet, Kings, Atlantis Business Park, Walstreet Business Park, Powergen Renewable Energy, Vimit Converters and Sanden Intercool (K).

Enyon Ltd, Hasbah Kenya, Pili Trade Centre, Posh Auto Body, Jumbo Chem, Alpha Centre, Ramtons, Tuskys Headquarters, Steel Makers, Manchester Outfitters, REA, Nice and Lovely, Prime Cartons and Ocean Group will also be affected by the scheduled interruption.

Others to be affected include Kenbro, Saj Ceramics, Patmos, Laneeb Plastics, Chemical and Solvent, Nyoro Construction, Kenbelt, KenGen Godowns, Label Converters, SGR, Part of Mombasa Road and adjacent customers.
