"If you see the issues which are being raised by our youths, most of them are contained on the Nadco report.”

The IEBC Amendment Bill is one of the key implementations that are a result of the National Dialogue Committee talks.

The new law will put the country’s electoral management system in place, including paving the way for the appointment of new IEBC commissioners.

The ceremony was held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), a move from the previous assents which have been done at State House.

The Bill is one of the key implementations that are a result of the National Dialogue Committee talks.

Present were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and Attorney General Justin Muturi among other senior state officers.

From the Opposition, National Assembly Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, ODM deputy party leaders Hassan Joho and Wycliffe Oparanya were also present.

On Monday, President Ruto invited leaders from all sides of the political divide, and from within and outside parliament to join him in the event.

"As the first bill successfully processed by Parliament based on the recommendations of the National Dialogue Committee report, President William Ruto invites leaders of parliamentary parties, both inside and outside Parliament, to join him for this historic event," Ruto's spokesperson Hussein Mohamed said.
