Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said there should be no dialogue a day after President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila announced a national  6-day dialogue under the National Multi-Sectoral Forum scheduled for next week.

The Gen Zs who led recent anti-Finance Bill protests criticised the ODM boss for supporting calls for a multi-sectoral forum.

They have claimed that they are tribe-less, party-less and leaders-less and neither of the political class speaks for them.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kalonzo said the Wiper party is in support of Gen Z saying they will not engage in any dialogue.

"In terms of the Gen Z revolution, it appears that the administration lacks an understanding of public sentiment. Generation Z does not wish to engage in dialogue. They want action and Wiper agrees," Kalonzo said.

The Wiper leader said that the current state of the nation would be avoided had the government addressed the cost of living and implemented the National Dialogue Committee(Nadco)findings.

According to Kalonzo, the government does not need dialogue to implement critical projects in the country.

"You don't need dialogue. Dialogue is not required to assess public debt because the Auditor General's Office has the same role. The attempt to usurp the Constitution by forming a Task Force on the subject is equally telling. You do not need dialogue to post medical interns or to sack corrupt government officials," he said.

"The Dialogue Gen Z and Kenyans are demanding is that Parliament stands dissolved, a snap election be called, and that Ruto steps down. And Wiper Democratic Movement agrees."

He added that the Wiper will continue to engage with youths on all platforms available, urging young Wiper democrats to open up the social media spaces and invite him and the party leadership.

"We want you to take the lead in shaping the conversation here and on the national platform," he added.

The dialogue forum which is set to begin on Monday, July 15  and conclude on Saturday, will foster national dialogue and seek lasting solutions to Kenya's pressing issues.

Ruto emphasised the importance of the forum stating that it will propose the way forward for the country.

“This forum will begin on Monday, next week and end on Saturday next week, it will be a 6-day forum and will propose the way forward for the country,” Ruto said.

The ODM leader reiterated the importance of the forum, saying that it will give Kenyans a chance to be heard.

"Dialogue is the way forward out of the crisis we're having in our country," Raila added.

"We have agreed that we give people an opportunity to be heard, to express themselves so that a lasting solution can be found."
