Principal Secretaries will oversee operations of the government following the dismissal of the Cabinet by President William Ruto on Thursday.

While addressing the nation from State House, Nairobi, Ruto assured that operations of government will continue uninterrupted under the guidance of PSs.

“I will immediately engage in extensive consultation across different sectors and political formations and other Kenyans both in the public and private sector with aim of setting up a broad-based government that will assist me in accelerating and expediting the necessary, urgent and irreversible implementation of the programme that we have including other radical measures to deal with burden of debt, to explore ways raising resources, expanding job opportunities, eliminating wastage and slaying dragon of corruption,” he said.

The President said he wants to make the government, lean, inexpensive and efficient.
