The Kenya Women Parliamentary Association has condemned the recent discovery of mutilated bodies in Kware, Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

The organization has expressed its deep shock over the tragic incident.

It also extended heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

"We strongly condemn these brutal acts of violence and call for immediate and thorough investigations to ensure those responsible are brought to justice. This horrifying incident underscores the urgent need to address security concerns and protect all citizens in our society," read a statement by KEWOPA chairperson Leah Sankaire.

KEWOPA also acknowledged the prompt response by the Embakasi Division Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

However, KEWOPA urged a transparent and expedited investigation to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice immediately.

KEWOPA also urged the government to take immediate action to enhance security, including increasing patrols and improving surveillance, especially in high-risk areas.

The organization also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police by providing any information that might assist in the investigation, highlighting that a collective effort is essential to identify and apprehend those responsible for the heinous crimes.

"We also call on the government and relevant authorities to provide support and counselling services to the victims' families during this time of mourning," KEWOPA said.

KEWOPA reaffirmed its dedication to advocating for the protection and empowerment of all individuals across Kenya.

The organization pledged to continue working tirelessly to uphold all citizens' rights and safety and eradicate violence from society.

"The safety and security of every citizen must be ensured, and we demand immediate and decisive action to prevent such atrocities from occurring in the future," KEWOPA said.
