Former Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has highlighted memories he shared with the late Justice David Majanja.

In an emotional post on X on Wednesday, Murkomen recalled their admission to the University of Pretoria to pursue a Master of Laws Degree 19 years ago.

"Nineteen years ago, we were admitted to the University of Pretoria for a Masters of Laws Degree course," said Murkomen

Murkomen remembers Majanja as a mentor to many during their time in Pretoria and him being senior to most of the students, he says Majanja became their big brother.

The former CS honours Majanja as someone who helped them set up their first consultancy firm which focused on matters of trade and investment in Africa.

Murkomen says they met two months where they had tea together as they shared their past life memories.

"Two months ago, we had tea with Majanja as we reminisced about our past experiences and discussed the whereabouts of our classmates. As fate would have it that would unfortunately be the last time I would see him alive," Murkomen said.
