Former Kisii governor James Ongwae has sent a congratulatory message to Julius Migosi Ogamba for his nomination as Cabinet Secretary for Education.

Migosi is on course to replace Ezekiel Machogu in the education docket.

During the 2022 elections, Migosi was Machogu’s running mate in the Kisii gubernatorial race. At the time, Machogu was the Nyaribari Masaba MP.

Migosi ran for the Kitutu Chache North parliamentary seat in 2017.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ogamba on his nomination as CS for Education,” Ongwae said.

In a statement, Ongwae said Migosi’s wealth of experience as an advocate of the High Court will bring fresh perspective and valuable insights to the crucial role of shaping the nation’s education landscape.

He said President William Ruto has nominated a qualified individual who has consistently demonstrated deep commitment to the principles of justice and education.

“Migosi’s dedication and passion for these fields will undoubtedly serve our country well in the years ahead,” he added.

Ongwae said he looks forward to witnessing the impact Migosi will make as he takes on the responsibility.

“My best wishes accompany him as he embarks on this important journey to contribute to the advancement of education in Kenya,” he added.
