Police are investigating the cause of a fire that gutted a children’s home in Kamulu area, Nairobi leaving a trail of destruction.
The fire broke out at the Made In The Streets Children’s Home on Sunday evening.
Police said there were 34 boys at the home at the time of the incident and all were accounted for.
The management said the fire broke out at the Ndovu dormitory before an alarm was raised to contain its spread.

In another incident, a long-distance bus was burnt in an incident along Hailesellasie Avenue, Nairobi.
The bus had arrived from Busia with passengers when it suddenly caught fire on Sunday night at about 11 pm.
According to police, the driver had parked the bus for the passengers to alight when the fire broke out.
A fire engine responded to the scene and managed to contain the spread of the fire.
Officials they are yet to establish the cause of the fire. All passengers on board were rescued.
Meanwhile, police officers were injured in a fire incident in their house at the Karen Plains Station, Karen, Nairobi.
Two iron sheet houses belonging to two officers were damaged in the Sunday, July 21 incident, police said.
Police said nothing was salvaged from the scene in the incident.
One officer had slight burns on his legs and was taken to hospital.
Police said a Ceska Pistol and a pocket phone belonging to one of the officers were burnt in the incident.
The incident is under probe, police said adding there are plans to get an alternative place for the officers.
