Ruto orders immediate release of all arrested over demos, charges dropped

President William Ruto has yielded to the demands by the Opposition to have all those arrested during the recent protests released.

Ruto directed the security agencies to comply with the directive.

The Head of State at the same time directed all charges pressed against them dropped.

"I urge the Criminal Justice Agencies to take effective measures and ensure people who may have been innocently caught on the wrong side of things be released and charges dropped," he said.
