Oduor is currently the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions.

The nomination comes a few days after Ruto reassigned Rebecca Miano to the Tourism ministry.

once appointed by the President, Oduor will become the principal legal adviser to the Government.

She will also represent the national government in court or in any other legal proceedings to which the national government is a party, other than criminal proceedings.

She will perform any other functions conferred on the office by an Act of Parliament or by the President.

She will form part of President Ruto's newly reconstituted Cabinet which includes at least four members from the Opposition party, ODM.
