Police in Lamu are investigating a murder after a man was attacked and fatally stabbed by unknown assailants.
The victim, identified as Imran Abdalla, was rushed to King Fahad General Hospital on Saturday but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Abdalla sustained injuries to the back of his neck, left ear, right shoulder, and left finger.
The attack occurred in the Bajuri area.
Two other individuals were also stabbed and are currently in stable condition at a local hospital Langoni.
The motive behind the attacks remains unclear, and no arrests have been made so far.
The area usually experiences such attacks over a number of reasons including land and drugs.
Meanwhile, detectives are investigating the drowning of a 19-year-old man in the Indian Ocean.
The body of Mwandia Chigamba was discovered at the Dongo Kundu-Mteza bridge Saturday evening after he had drowned.
Witnesses told police he was trying to cross from one side to the other when he landed at an incomplete area hence running tired and trapped.
County officials were called to the scene to help in retrieving the body.
Elsewhere, a move to stone to death a 28-year-old man in Makongeni area, Thika has prompted police to open a murder probe.
The deceased identified as Meshak Mutuku was targeted last Tuesday night as he and his friend left a night church event.
The friends told police they were from a fellowship at a house in Corner Three when they met a group of men who pelted stones at them alleging that they were thieves.
The five ran in different directions and on arriving at their house they noticed the deceased was missing. They traced their way back to where they had encountered the group and found their friend had been lynched.
Police were called to the scene and processed it before moving the body to General Kago mortuary awaiting postmortem.
