Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service Eliud Lagat conducted lectures with officers at both Central Police Station Mombasa and Kilifi Police Station.

Following his tour of the cells at Central, Lagat held a meeting with officers, where he reiterated the need for discipline, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to service.
"Lagat called upon the officers to be accountable for their actions, and uphold discipline in their work.
"He is very keen on ensuring that police stations are transformed into excellent centres of service delivery to Kenyans," the National Police Service said.
At Kilifi police station, Deputy OCS Inspector Philip Kegode presented a breakdown of the common crimes in the area, mainly assault and stealing.
Lagat noted that transforming police stations into such institutions remains a key priority.
