The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will hold a press briefing to share key insights and urgent actions against mpox.

This follows the launch of the Mpox Joint Continental Preparedness and Response Plan by the Africa CDC and World Health Organization.

Finance Act appeal case

The Supreme Court will today hear the government's appeal on the 2023 Finance Act that was declared unconstitutional by the Court of Appeal.

The National Assembly and other Appellants are set to argue their case before the full seven Judge bench.

The other Appellants also scheduled to highlight their arguments through their legal teams are the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Planning, the Attorney General and the Kenya Revenue Authority.

The respondents in the Appeal include Busia Senator Okiya Omutata and 52 others including the International Commission of Jurists, Katiba Institute and the Kenya Human Rights Commission.
