The Nairobi Hospital, in a press briefing on Monday, announced that no doctors are on strike.

Board chairman Dr Chris Bichage dismissed reports that some doctors and consultants were on strike, saying that cannot happen.

"Recent reports on social media and in mainstream media have incorrectly suggested that doctors at The Nairobi Hospital are on strike," he said.

"We, the Board of Management, wish to clarify that these reports are false.

“The Nairobi Hospital's operations are running smoothly, with all staff working tirelessly to provide excellent care to our patients,” the statement reads in part.

Bichage further said their services, which include open-heart surgery, kidney transplants, and cancer therapy, are still available.

“Our advanced facilities feature the latest in medical technology, including MRI with AI, mammography, and fluoroscopy,” the chairman said

The board has also implemented comprehensive governance policies to enhance operational efficiency and ensure integrity, they said.

“Allegations of corruption and mismanagement are baseless and have emerged from individuals unable to influence our governance,” the statement reads in part.

The hospital leadership, however, said they challenge anyone with concrete evidence of corruption to present it.

“We encourage journalists and stakeholders to visit The Nairobi Hospital to see firsthand the high standards of care and innovation we uphold,” the chairman said

“Our commitment to delivering exceptional medical services and maintaining rigorous governance standards is steadfast.”

Part of the delegation included the vice chairman Solomon Mwaisaka, CEO James Nyamongo, Gilbert Nyamweya (company secretary), and Director ICT Geofrey Ngetich.
