State to fast-track development projects across the country - CS Kindiki

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has said that the government will now fast-track development projects across the country.

Speaking on Monday, Kindiki said this will help accelerate the country's transformation agenda.

He went on to say that this will also help improve the quality of life for the people of Kenya.

"This is in line with Kenya Kwanza's Bottom Up Economic Transformation (Beta) plan," Kindiki said.

Kindiki made the remarks as he toured and commissioned several projects in Kiambu County.

In Executive Order No. 1 of 2023, President William Ruto tasked the Interior ministry with coordinating state agencies.

This was in a bid to ensure expedited completion of development projects.

On Monday, Kindiki officially launched the newly constructed Kihara Police station.

During the launch, the Interior ministry gave Sh3 million to equip the newly built station.

The Interior CS inspected the construction of Kiambaa Training and Vocational Training College.

The college's Karuri campus is being constructed at the cost of Sh70 million.

He also presided over the start of construction works on the Muchatha-Kaiyaba-Nduota-Gathanga-Kigwaru road, among other link roads.

The project is being constructed at the cost of Sh3 billion.

Kindiki was accompanied by Roads Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, among other leaders.
