Safaricom CEO to appear before the Senate

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa is scheduled to appear before the Senate ICT committee.

He is set to respond to a statement sought by Nyandarua Senator John Methu regarding the increased number of dropped calls on the mobile network.

Early last month, the company blamed Kenya Power and the increased strain on its network for the increase in the number of dropped calls.

This was in response to the Communications Authority (CA) over concerns raised by the Committee on the quality of its service.

Safaricom said its network is greatly impacted due to the quality of grid power provided by the power firm.
