The Nairobi International Trade Fair which started on Monday, September 23 and will run to Sunday, October 29, at Jamhuri Park Showground off Ngong Road,.

The one-week Trade Fair has attracted more than 500 global and local exhibitors from sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, housing, small and medium enterprises, banking, public and private sector institutions, hospitality, education, with a host of innovative technologies and innovations on display.

Gate charges at the fair are Sh300 for adults and Sh250 for children.

Special rates for schools and farmer groups with 10 or more attendees are Sh250 for adults and Sh200 for children.

This is in line with the theme of the fair, “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”

"The Nairobi International Trade Fair continues to provide an important focal point for sharing critical knowledge in agriculture and trade by ensuring exhibitors display new and emerging innovations, as well as advanced technologies within Nairobi City County environs," Mugo said.

"Through live demonstrations, workshops, and interactive training sessions, the Nairobi International Trade Fair provides a platform for exhibitions, and networking that spur development in agriculture, trade, and allied sectors in line with the National Government’s agenda on agriculture and trade."

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday also became the new owner of two champion bulls worth Sh1.6 million after he won a bid during a livestock auction at the ASK Nairobi show on Wednesday.

The DP bagged two, three-year-old Boran bulls from Kenya Seed Company, one weighing 690 kg, which he bought for Sh1 million, and another weighing 580 kg, which was sold for Sh550,000.

This was during the Nairobi International Trade Fair public auction for fat stock cattle and sheep.
